Joaquín Rubio Camín

In laminated steel, “Construcción”, was created in 1990 by the Asturian artist Joaquín Rubio Camín, the main reference in Asturian sculpture in the second half of the 20th century.

Comprising four vertically placed steel angles, the sculpture has different heights, higher at the ends and lower at the centre. This symmetrical arrangement endows the piece with a certain spatial rhythm, in which balance and the measure of proportions triumph.
